Slow news day, unless you want to discuss train wrecks, Conservatives ousting Liberals in Canada, Robert Byrd demanding West Virginia mine reform even though he has been a Senator there for over 350 years, the 33rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Kobe Bryant scored 81 points, and me eating a peanut butter sandwich for lunch for the 6th weekday in a row (no link to that.)

Anyways, I was watching TV today and there was a digital cable preview for the upcoming Olympics. The American team was declared "The Best Team USA Ever." Have they ever not been declared the country's best ever? I don't ever remember an announcer or pundit saying that this year's squad was not as good as the one in the last Olympics. So they are going to better than Salt Lake? I doubt it. In retrospect, and I was critical of it at the time, the IOC made the right decision to stagger the Winter and Summer games every 2 years instead of having them both in the same year every 4 years (this was accomplished by having the Winter Olympics in 1994 in Lillehammer, Norway two years after they were in Albertville, France in 1992). Four years between any Olympics is too long - this isn't the World Cup. Plus I feel Winter got overshadowed by Summer when they were in the same year.

I am excited about the Winter Olympics, even though I play no winter sports or ever watch them during any non-Olympic year. For instance if the Philadelphia Flyers were playing the Boston Bruins right now in my backyard I would rather put in a DVD of Season 1 of "Full House." But I love Olympic hockey and rooting for Team USA. I am running out of time to get my USA jersey for this year. Other favorite Olympic Sports to watch in no order: speed skating, curling, biathlon, ski jump, luge, and thats it. I don't like the Summer Games that much. I hope President Bush drops the first puck for hockey this year in Italy - and is it in Torino or Turin? - I prefer Turin.

Full House season 1 should win out over just about anything. The writers were great, Uncle Jessie was a super stud, and Joey's, "Cut It Out," with hand signals was hysterical. The question is would you watch the Bruins/Flyers in your back yard if it were the last season of Full House with a bitchy Michelle, plumping Donna Jo (D.J.), annoying Niki & Alex, and whipped Uncle Jessie? Come on Keeler. Where are the tough questions. I expect more from you.

if it was a later year I would be more likely to watch actually. the more kimmy gibler and steve, d.j.'s boyfriend, the better.

season 1 everyone is too young, they are dealing with the whole mom just died thing and everyone "learning to live together under one roof" and the other plots arent as good, but really many arent. maybe full house was a bad example and i should have used something else.

I had to mail my finger prints to the FBI branch in WV today so they can send the Tongan Immigration people my police record. Clearly the result of Byrd's porkbarreling. Anything FBI should be in DC.

I forgot to ask this yesterday. There was also no mention of jelly. I see you as a straight line grape guy but strawberry is also an excellent choice in my opinion. Then again you might say nuts to everything and do with an unconventional raspberry, blackberry, or apple in trying to let lose and get away from the hard core right.

So I've been searching around looking at blogs because I want to start one at my site ( golf schools ). But I'm not sure how I want to go.... blogger, wordpress, drupal... not sure, and I don't know that much about them. I like the look of this site. If you have time could you email me what you like/dislike about your blog? Thank you if you decide to take the time to help me out, and I understand if you don't. Ultimately I want it to look good with being "hands off" as much as possible. Anyway, keep up the good work.
