Ohio Data Theft Expands; Who Isn't Affected Now?

Columbus - Surrounded by top Cabinet officials wearing forlorn faces, Gov. Ted Strickland announced Wednesday that the theft of state data last month was deeper than previously thought and personal tax, Social Security and other information potentially affecting 675,000 more individuals is on the mysterious, unidentified device stolen from an intern's car.

Every few days we hear that more information has been stolen. This is getting a bid absurd. To be honest, I don't really care all that much about the actual data being stolen. What I do enjoy is that all the left-wingers that rushed to the defense of Roger's brother just because he was a Democrat are now looking more foolish everyday. This whole thing has just been poorly handled; I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise.

At the current rate of information release from Governor Strickland, we should hear about more stolen data around next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Other Ohio News; Bow Ties are Back: (The) Ohio State University has a new president, and it is a familiar one. E. Gordon Gee is returning. Gee will leave his job as Chancellor at Vanderbilt to come back to Ohio State, where he will take back the top job he held at Ohio State from 1990 - 1997. It looks like some more huge wins for the football team will be coming back as well, after all, "one of the greatest wins in Ohio State history" took place in 1992 in the Gee era, when Ohio State tied Michigan 13-13.

I read that Gee might want to run for Ohio Governor someday; I have heard that rumor before. He would not be running as a Democrat. I actually tend to doubt he would run, but interesting to think about.

Additionally: Tonight I am going gambling, Ohio style, with Kyle of The Chief Source. We will provide a full report tomorrow. I want to find out what these "games of skill" as opposed to "games of chance" are all about.
