Edwards Sinking Campaign
John Edwards has decided to take federal money for his campaign, because he can't raise any himself. He is trying to spin it best he can and challenging others (Clinton, Obama) to do the same. Of course they won't; why would they when they are raising money? Edwards can now try to say he is the most "ethical" candidate in the race, and I can actually seeing him fooling people. Earlier this year, Edwards said that avoiding the federal spending caps which he is now subject to would be the only way to compete. Edwards will now only be allowed to spend certain amounts of money in certain states. If this was a great strategy, I imagine more campaigns would be doing it.
His spokesman: "This is the most expensive campaign in history. The focus on raising money has gotten out of control, and that's why John Edwards wants to focus on the issues." Or maybe you are having trouble raising money? One of the two I guess.

Too bad for Edwards, I think hes a decent candidate.
the man will say anything regardless of the veracity. What a sleaze.
Maybe he should ask some of his trial lawyer friends to dig deeper into your, excuse me, their pockets.
Some of these goofs have actually argued for 100% public financing of campaigns. So they want to use money confiscated for tax payers to run for a job where they get paid with confiscated money to waste even more confiscated money. Hubris defined.
